What do you do when you're sad?

  1. I try to divert my mind..either go shopping or watch a movie or eat something nice and sinful :D

    but once I sleep on that day and get up again I would have forget that :)

  4. straighten your hair. it takes your concentration for a good half hour and leaves you refreshed and feeling and looking better than ever

  5. when i am TRULY SAD, i drink a glass of wine or vodka... get high on that.. then write in my diary or blog for really long or play a strategy game that takes my mind away. Then go to sleep.

  6. I disappear, go offline and minimise contact with people. I also dont want to be disturbed at all. I spend the time biking, photographing, reading, playing games or sleeping. :)

  10. I usually tell myself that throwing something on the ground does not help; "not" talking/thinking about it does not help; taking it out on the wrong person / pet / thing does not help;

    Watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. helps, seriously!

  15. What people do when they feel sad is personal. So at the cost of this being futile, here's a try.

    From a guy's perspective some of these help. Pardon the cliches, but it helps :-) :

    - Long Drive
    - Immersing yourself in the company of kids
    - Mom's Coooking

    Had a fellow blogger Gulmohar write these posts that may lighten you up. I promise it will make you smile, especially the 'My name is Gulmohar' that re-lives her childhood nostalgia in Mysore replete with kunte bille and totapuri maavina kaayi ..


    In May, the resplendent Gulmohar trees would burst into bloom and cover my dear town – Mysore, in a floral canopy of crimson red. A gust of wind sprinkled these sashaying may-flowers to adorn the roads below, fill the air with a light fragrance, and usher a festive look. My cousins and I spent many a summer days playing under these Gulmohar trees in a park close to my home.



    But this time, my pet hate left me with a lot more to think than just her plastic demeanor. On being asked how she is so composed, She spoke of imagining herself putting all her emotions , as it hit her thru the day, into an imaginary box and stowing it away in a closet. Later, when she found time, she would take the box out and get to those worries one by one, like you would settle your monthly bills..

  16. When I am sad.. i just take a cool shower and have a nice sleep :))) next day morning i will be really fresh and I will not have any thoughts about the thing which has hurt me!

  18. I hang out with a bunch of children, or my fiance. They are bundles of positive energy. Pure joy I tell you.
