A day without Google

Google and its related sites were not accessible the yesterday, while the other pages including facebook or twitter were loading successfully. Google, gtalk, gmail, reader... were totally out of service to the BSNL broadband users. I could neither google to find out a solution for this. ;)

C:\>ping google.com

Pinging google.com [64.95.64.197] with 32 bytes of data:

Ping statistics for 64.95.64.197:

C:\>tracert google.com
Tracing route to google.com [64.95.64.197]

If you're a BSNL customer and facing the same issue, try this:
1. Go to 192.168.1.1; system info and chk the attenuation and SNR value.SNR should be about 12 it seems.
2. Then change ip address in the internet settings from automatic to manual.

Thanks to Suyog for providing the solution.

A day without google is living in stone-age!

  4. I guess if the problem was with google only and you were able to access the other websites, then checking the SNR ( signal to noise ratio ) doesn't make sense. If that would have been any problem with SNR, you won't be able to access any website.
Anyways, It seems like a DNS problem to me. :P
